I used to have a 5 year plan, a 10 year plan for us. A financial plan. Money is important, important to provide things for our children, for us now as a family, and for Nick & I in retirement. But life is important too. I think I can sometimes get too caught up, and forget about the life, here and now part.

We are lucky, lucky that we can do this trip. Yes it is going to take us backwards financially. But we are lucky that we can go backwards. We will be packing my stethoscope and Nick's tool belt, to help us out along the way.
